CLASS DESCRIPTION
TWO DAY AM CLASS
Tuesday and Thursday
9:00-11:30 AM
Children 3-4 years old
This preschool class is developmentally designed for the 3-4 year olds. For many, this is their first preschool experience, so special attention is given to helping the children learn the basics of being in a group setting with their peers. Some of the early education center goals for this class are as follows:

Accomplish successful separation

Develop a sense of independence & self-confidence

Increase ability to accept limits

Develop ability to state one's feelings

Develop trust relationships with teachers

Acquire skills of group participation

Increase ability to work with manipulative materials (puzzles, scissors, drawing implements)

Name recognition

Introduction to: Upper and Lower case letter names and sounds; Identifying Numbers 1-10; Colors; Shapes; Sorting; and Patterns

Learn who God and Jesus are along with others from the Old and New Testaments
THREE DAY AM CLASS
Monday, Wednesday, Friday
9:00-11:30 AM
Children 4-5 years old
This preschool class is developmentally designed to build on the skills and foundations developed in the previous class or at home for older preschoolers. The social and academics skills that are necessary for entering kindergarten will be introduced through a variety of fun, interactive activities. Some of the early education center goals for children in this class are as follows:

Increase the level of attention and involvement in activities

Develop the ability to make self-regulated choices and complete activities

Increase positive interactions with peers

Participate in classroom discussions

Name recognition, identify letters in name, and writing name

Identification of Upper & Lower case letter names and sounds, and writing letters A-Z

Identifying Numbers 1-20, including counting, writing, and corresponding values

Sorting; Patterning; Sequencing; Rhyming; Opposites

Learn who God and Jesus are along with others from the Old and New Testament
FOUR DAY PM CLASS
Monday through Thursday
12:30-3:00 PM
Children 4-6 years old
This Preschool class is developmentally designed for the pre-kindergartener who is excited about school and is ready to learn! The extended four day program allows for more reinforcement activities and helps children better transition to a full kindergarten week. Some of the early education center goals for children in this class are as follows:

Participate in open-ended classroom discussions and public speaking opportunities

Letter formation (both upper and lower case)

Build on the knowledge of who God and Jesus are, and others in the Old and New Testaments
